How It Works—Comp Format
Open Qualifiers:
Competitors will take on a set of climbs in a modified redpoint format. Your top 5 boulders will count towards your final score. Sends will be verified through the honor system. No self-signing or spectator signatures allowed—make sure you have at least 2 signatures for your scoresheet to be valid.
Finals (Skinny WC Finals):
The onsight finals format you love from the IFSC World Cups, but with a twist! Each climber gets 4 minutes per boulder, across 4 boulders. After Boulder 1 and 2, the top 3 competitors advance to Boulder 3, and then the top 2 will battle it out on Boulder 4. The top 5 women + top 5 men from qualifiers advance to finals.
Citizens Round:
This is a classic redpoint round where your top 5 scoring boulders count towards your final score. Just like the open qualifiers, you’ll score each other and verify sends through the honor system. Minimum of 2 signatures required on scoresheets.
Showcase (Knockout Round):
A never-before-seen climbing style that’s exhilarating to watch and compete in! Participants go head-to-head on identical boulders in a “flash or trash” format. The first to top their boulder eliminates the other. Competitors will be randomly seeded, meaning climbers of all ages, genders, and skill levels will race against each other across 4 different boulders (rounds) to find out who’s the last one standing.
