Swatch has been going back to its roots for a few years with the creation of its Swatch Pro team. The company has a sharp eye and knows how to spot emerging talents as well as the hot athletes of the moment. But every hard-working athlete also needs to unwind and enjoy the joy of summer. The JACKALOPE is a the perfect opportunity for the team to get together as a family and experience 3 days of packed action and parties with the best fans in the world
But the question is ; who’s gonna be there? Even if it’s summer, it’s not forbidden to talk about snowboarding right? Especially when it comes to athletes who have won medals at the last Olympics. Meryeta O’dine? Remember that rider who got landed on during the mixed snowboard cross team race final at the last Olympics? She got up and still managed to win bronze! Legendary olympic moment featuring Meryeta O’dine and she will be there.

Other Olympians from the Swatch family will join the party. Max Moffat and Elena Gaskell will leave their skis behind to come and watch all the action the JACKALOPE has to offer. For those who do not know them, In 2022, Max won his first career medal at the X Games in Aspen, taking silver in slopestyle. At the Dew Tour in December 2021, Moffatt won best trick in the non-Olympic ski street style event, pulling out a misty six off the cannon as he finished third overall in the event. In his Olympic debut at Beijing 2022, Moffatt qualified for the slopestyle final. As for Elena, she won bronze in Chur, Switzerland at big air World Cup opener in October 2021,. She added a fourth-place finish in big air in December in Steamboat, Colorado. Gaskell was also set to make her Olympic debut at Beijing 2022 but on the last day of training at the big air venue she suffered a knee injury on a landing

A recent addition to the Swatch Pro team is the mountain bike brother/sister duo – Seth & Tayte Proulx Royds. To celebrate Seth and Tayte’s arrival, Swatch presented them both with custom designed helmets. The project was a collaboration with Fresh Paints of Whistler, Fox and Leatt. The two young rippers were just competing last week at Crankworx and are more than happy to come to the Jackalope for the first time.
Are you ready for the Cherry on the top? Once again, for the delight of the Montreal crowd, Andy Anderson and Maddy Balt will attend the event. Anderson aka The skateboard wizard, will no doubt blow us away once again with his creative trickery from a parallel universe. If you run into him, make sure to show him some photos of the coolest fire hydrants in Montreal. And for those who are strangers to maddy, She is one of the icons of Canadian women’s skateboarding and she’s no stranger to the Jackalope and the Montreal Crew.

This article would not be complete without talking about one of the influential riders of the Swatch Pro team: TJ Rogers. Who doesn’t know TJ? He is without a doubt a favorite of the Montreal crowd. Unfortunately, we won’t seem him competing as he has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. He is currently on doing chemotherapy (he was given the diagnosis in January). This does not stop him from making the trip to see his fans and hopefully, as usual, make the most out of montreal.
