At the heart of an accelerated worldwide development in recent years both artistically and athletically, break dancing will be an official discipline at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, a long-awaited recognition by all its followers.

In this context, DECYPHER offers a historical review of this dance at the heart of hip-hop culture, based on a host of unpublished archives and on the testimonies of key players on the Montreal scene, highlighting its evolution from its very beginnings in the Quebec metropolis to today.
