JACKALOPE Festival is coming back stronger than ever and here’s why

After 2 years of adventures on JACKALOPE TV, we couldn’t wait to get you all together again, and celebrate our 10th edition as it should be. For the long awaited return, we went all out. Here’s a little preview of what we have in store for you.

1-We’re taking over the Esplanade du Parc olympique in MONTREAL, from August 19th to 21st.

Your summer dose of adrenaline is back. Expect to see some 500 athletes (men and women) from 20 countries in action for street skateboarding, bouldering and breaking competitions, as well as freestyle motocross, BMX and BASE jump demonstrations.

2-A pool of international talent. The JACKALOPE Crew travels across Canada on a TOUR of skateparks and climbing gyms to find the young talent that will be invited to compete in the big leagues in Montreal. We also sponsor several international skateboarding events – in London, Miami, New York, Prague, etc. – giving the best of the best a chance to compete in Montreal. We are also sponsoring several international events – in London, Miami, New York, Prague, etc. – giving the best athletes from all over the world the chance to come to Montreal in August to perform.

3-And talking about good news, we are pleased to announce that we are going to the United States from June 2 to 4, 2023, for an edition on the hot sand of a beach near Neptune Park at VIRGINIA BEACH!

JACKALOPE MONTREAL 2022

SKATEBOARD. Local and international athletes, Men/Women, will try to win the first place of the street contest, sanctioned by the Skateboarding World Cup. A brand new custom street race imagined by Spin. Pro open format. 30K Men/Women purse. Best Tricks will also be part of the event.

VERT. World famous athletes are invited to offer you a show in the Green, Elliot Sloan, Jimmy Wilkins, Mitchie Brusco, and the newcomer Gavin Bottger, 15 years old, nicknamed ‘Park killer’ and the young Canadian prodigy of 9 years old, Tony Hawk’s little protégée : Reese Nelson

BOULDERING. The bouldering competition takes on a whole new level this year as the only Canadian stop on the North American Cup Series (NACS).

BREAKING. After having made a place for itself at the Olympics, Breaking invites itself to JACKALOPE to offer you no less than the final of the Canadian Championships with Breaking Canada.

BASEJUMP. Our BASE Jump athletes are back, and this time they’ll be flying from a 300 foot construction crane.

MOTOCROSS. Canadian athlete Christian Martinez and his crew will take adrenaline to a whole new level with breathtaking tricks.

BMX. We have the chance to welcome 3 BMX athletes who have toured with Cirque du Soleil and who are competing internationally. Don’t miss Kevin Fabregue, Jeffrey Whaley and Maxime Chalifour.

JACKALOPE is all about DJ and hip hop music performances from Quebec, pop up shops, food trucks, and especially the opportunity to have fun in an exciting way.

New this year, a live webcast of the event if you can’t be there for the finals of each discipline.

JACKALOPE MONTREAL is presented by Vidéotron, in collaboration with GURU, ARC’TERYX, SWATCH and PABST, and with the participation of Empire, Consignaction, SPIN and Allez Up.
