JACKALOPE is back in the heart of one of Canada’s fastest-growing and most diverse cities. With its bold architecture, sprawling suburbs, and iconic lakefront skyline, Mississauga offers the perfect urban canvas for skateboarding.
You’ll be skating in the middle of a proud Canadian city, one that blends raw city textures with suburban charm. From brutalist buildings to wide-open plazas, everything here is built to spark creativity.
Street Contest: Jam‑Packed Chaos
Who’s in? Sixty riders. Registration is wide‑open, so whether you’re hometown hero or road‑trip renegade, claim your slot early.
How it works:
30 heats max, 2 minutes each, 2 riders per jam.
Judges score overall impression ; style, difficulty, variety, originality, consistency, and how well you paint every corner of the course.
The climb to glory after the dust settles, the ten highest‑scoring skaters advance to Semi‑Finals. There, each rider’s top 3 tricks get a score out of 100. Nail them, and you’ll reach the Finals: basically, it’s the same concept as the Semis. Then comes the Super Final, a one‑hammer‑takes‑all showdown where style, creativity, and nerve rule the day.
Yes, you can fall and keep skating ; this jam format rewards resilience, something riders love and the crowd can’t get enough of.

Vert Contest: Sky‑High Drama
Who’s in? Up to 36 riders, and this time the deck is open to everyone. Legend Max Dufour call the shots from the judge’s booth.
Qualification layout:
6 heats tops, 6 skaters each. Every athlete gets three 30‑second runs; the run ends on your first slam, no first‑wall rebate.
Riders drop in by PLG’s cue, keeping the session flowing.
If fewer than 15 riders register, everyone skips straight to Semi‑Finals. Otherwise, the best run counts (same criteria as Street).

Judging: Keep it Clean and Original
Let’s be real ; judging at Jackalope ain’t about playing it safe. For Street qualifications, it’s all about overall impression. That means how hard your tricks are, how clean you land them, how much of the course you touch, and if you’re bringing something different to the table.
For vert, judges are looking at difficulty, style, flow, variety, originality, and how you use the whole ramp. There’s no room for rinse-and-repeat runs ; bring something fresh. Fall once, that run’s done. Show up ready to go all-in.

Shredder Pass: For the True Skate Enthusiast
If you’re here to ride, the Shredder Pass is for you. For three days only, skate JACKALOPE’s custom-built street course and vert ramp, the very same setup used by the pros.
Available for both the Street and Vert courses, this pass gives you free skate sessions on JACKALOPE’s custom skatepark and ramps, where you can ride the same features as the pros. Whether you’re hitting the street course or the vert ramp, you’ll get to shred in the festival atmosphere. No competition entry is required, but you do need to bring your own skateboard and helmet. Just keep in mind that free skate sessions are limited and can change based on weather, so check the schedule to make the most of your ride.
Mini Ramp Mayhem
The mini ramp at JACKALOPE Mississauga is where good vibes and progression meet.
From the adorable Pup Cup for skaters aged 7 and under, complete with prizes and parental support, to the high-energy Grom Best Trick showdown, the ramp becomes a hub for young talent and fearless first-timers.
Outside of competitions, it also opens up for casual sessions, giving Shredder Pass holders of all levels a chance to drop in, warm up, and share the space with the community.
Whether you’re cheering on the next generation or sliding in for a mellow jam, the mini ramp’s the place to be.
Adult Skate Clinics by Aunty Skates
Always wanted to learn how to skate, but never knew where to start? We got you.
On Saturday, July 12, from 9:00–11:30 AM, JACKALOPE is teaming up with Aunty Skates to host a series of fun, supportive, and beginner-friendly adult skateboarding clinics. Whether it’s your first time stepping on a board or you’re finally ready to conquer the mini ramp, these 30-minute themed sessions are designed just for you.
Here’s what you can sign up for:
- First-Timers – Absolute basics and board confidence
- Beginners – Pushing, turning, and balance
- Mini-Ramp Basics – Pumping and riding transition
- Ollie Clinic – Breaking down the ollie step by step
- Drop-In 101 – Overcoming fear and dropping in safely
Requirements:
