Forget everything you thought you knew about action sports festival! Don’t get this wrong, JACKALOPE Virginia Beach isn’t just a skateboarding event. It’s a full-throttle, multi-sport, no-holds-barred celebration of action sport culture. For three days, the boardwalk morphs into a playground for the bold and the wild. It’s where the world’s best athletes ; skaters, base jumpers, Moto X riders, highliners and more collide to blow minds.

You know what’s up! All about chasing that next hit of sensation. That second of airtime where the world slows down. That perfectly stuck landing. That moment you hold your breath because someone just did the impossible… again. From sunrise sound checks to moonlit DJ sets, JACKALOPE is a gathering of every thrill-seeker who never grew out of going too fast, flying too far, or climbing way too high. Let’s break it down.

Moto X: Throttle Therapy on the Boardwalk

If the sound of a revving engine gives you goosebumps, Moto X at JACKALOPE Virginia Beach is your spiritual home. This year’s roster is full of heavy hitters ready to defy gravity, and common sense, on two wheels. Zach DiPaolo brings that raw / throwback energy to freestyle motocross. Known for his effortless extensions and fearless amplitude, he’s the kind of rider who turns a no-hander into an art form. Alongside him is Mike Angerman, a veteran who knows how to work the crowd and the throttle with equal mastery.

Jordan Gutierrez and Derek Burlew round out the chaos crew, each with their own flavor of madness. Whether it’s massive whips, flip combos, or a last-minute cliffhanger off the kicker, these guys treat the laws of physics like mere suggestions. Expect dirt, airtime, and wild roars from the crowd as the Virginia Beach sky fills with flying metal and madness.

BASE Jump: Exit Points and Goosebumps

When it comes to adrenaline, few things compare to stepping off the edge of a platform with nothing but a parachute and your own nerves. BASE jumping at Jackalope is not for the faint of heart, and that’s why Matt Laj is leading the charge. Known for his tandem jumps with Tandem Moab, Matt is redefining what’s possible in the world of BASE. If you thought skydiving was wild, watching Matt and crew leap into the void, surrounded by beachfront crowds, will reset your fear threshold entirely. Let’s put it like this, they are artists of altitude, and JACKALOPE is their gallery.

Speed Highline Invitational : Walking on Air 

High above the crowd, sometimes 100 feet up, you’ll spot a surreal, quiet moment in the middle of the chaos: someone walking a slackline between two towers, toes curled, arms out, completely still. That’s the urban highline show, and it’s one of the most hypnotic parts of the Jackalope experience. Sean Englund and Henry Adams bring years of balance, tension and flow to the boardwalk skyline.

Whether they’re crossing in tandem or pulling tricks mid-line, these guys remind us what true focus looks like. It’s a dance with gravity, without the safety net. Every step is a calculated risk, and every save is met with an eruption of applause and disbelief from below. And this year, they’ll be suspended between two beachfront giants ; the Hilton and the Hampton Inn, turning that familiar hotel skyline into a tightrope theatre in the sky, brought to you by Uncharted Lines

MONSTER MAIN ACT: DJ STACKZ ; Friday Night Fever

Once the sun sets and the wheels cool down, things heat up again, this time on stage. DJ Stakz, aka Ryan Christian, will be lighting up Friday night with a set from 9:00 to 10:30 PM. Known for his genre-bending energy and festival-ready fire, Stackz turns dance floors into dust clouds. If you’re still standing after the day’s chaos, you’re definitely dancing. What about a good sound bath for the hyped and sunburned.

The names and wild tricks at Jackalope Virginia Beach? Yeah, they’re there, but it’s honestly so much more than that.
